Training and Onboarding

We work in an industry where individuals of all seniority levels must constantly adapt and learn ‘on-the-job’ through project work. At Synetic, we recognise that there are steps we can take to accelerate this learning and development, in terms of both generalist consulting skills and functional domain knowledge in the pharmaceutical industry. We therefore put time and thought into our training program, which consists of the following key aspects:

Induction training:  A series of sessions to ensure new joiners understand how Synetic works, meet the team, and get a feel for what is important to us and our clients.

Training days: Quarterly full-day sessions that address in-depth consulting or industry topics, with a focus on team working, participation and collaboration.

Synetic Seminars: Weekly or fortnightly one hour sessions with Q&A that cover a wide variety of areas, including industry specifics, consulting disciplines, past projects, and lessons that can be learned from other industries. We strive for a mix of internal and external expert speakers at these meetings.

This is all in addition to the mentoring and coaching team members receive from our experienced project team leaders, and through discussions with the ‘line manager’ who is responsible for overseeing their development.

Women's Leadership Initiative

Synetic understands that empowering women in our workplace will provide individual advantages, but will also benefit the business more widely. For this reason, we have set up a Women’s Leadership Initiative that provides an open forum to share experiences, perspectives, literature and successes that women feel are best practices in their professional life. The initiative intends to:

  • Raise awareness of the challenges that women can face in the workplace, and build resilience across the team

  • Provide peer-to-peer coaching

  • Establish an environment and culture that supports, develops and retains its women leaders

  • Discuss professional qualities that lead to exemplary leadership

Members of this program meet once a month to explore a range of topics that can be practically applied in our professional lives.
